AXON Will Deliver a Second Project with Mule, a Very Popular Open Source Enterprise Service Bus (ESB)

Montreal, June 9,  2008 – After delivering a first MULE implementation project at Les Emballages Knowlton, Inc., AXON is proud to announce a second similar project at Toon Boom Animation. For these clients, the objective is to allow an accelerated integration of the components in different applications within their organization as well as an automated data exchange mechanism.

Enterprise Service Buses (ESBs) have recently become very popular since they offer an efficient solution for the integration of heterogeneous systems at the data exchange interface and technology levels. For instance, an ESB can facilitate the communication between a mainframe application written in COBOL and a mobile application developed in Java. Enabling the interoperability between virtually all existing communication protocols is, by far, the main advantage of ESBs.

About Mule

Mule is the world's most widely used open source ESB. Designed to support high-performance and multi-protocol transactions between heterogeneous systems and services, Mule provides the basis for service oriented architecture (SOA). With a standards-based, zero intrusion approach to existing infrastructure and a simplified development model, Mule adapts to your environment and prevents vendor lock-in. The open source model allows organizations to achieve rapid ROI while enabling developers to customize Mule to readily meet their needs.
